The Alif Story

My name is Nejat Ahmed Gerad, founder of Alif Art. I am a self-taught artist who has been painting since childhood, finding peace and joy in every brushstroke. Alif Art grew from that passion, transforming colors, patterns, and verses into meaningful pieces that bring faith and beauty together.

I create Islamic calligraphy with Qur’anic ayats on unique backgrounds, from marble effects to abstract designs. Inspired by my Harari heritage, I also weave traditional cultural patterns into the borders of my canvases, giving each piece a story of its own.
